The First stage of this movie was shot on in Azerbaijan City of Baku & second stage was shot in Malaysia.
This First Stage started in September/October 2008 & the second stage was started in July 2009. All the post production stage was carried out in India by ‘Akiv Ali’.
Music:
The Music of thie movie has been released already and the songs are said to be of very good quality. The singers includes Ali Zafar, who has sung the title song of the film and Abrar-ul-Haq with ‘Sohniye – Heeriye’, Kailash Kher and Shazia Manzoor for song ‘Sohniye Yaadan’ Composed and produced by Ravi Bal, Sunidhi Chauhan and Hunterz for Aila Aila, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Shaan. Pappu Samrat is the choreographer.

Production:
Reliance Entertainment bought the movie for around R.S 64 Crore which is produced by Reel Life and is owned by Atul Agnihotri.
First stage of movie was shot in Symbiosis Institute of Business Management in Pune from January 16, 2011, later the shooting continued in the town of Patiala (Punjab). Afterwards the crew moved to Europe for shooting of two songs and finally shifted to Film City in Mumbai as the budget of movie was exceeding then calculated.
Music:
Himesh Reshmya has composed most songs of the movie with only one song by Pritam lyrics by Neelesh Mishra. The music rights were sold toT-Series for 6 crore.
