Pakistan Theatre Festival 2023, presented by Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi will showcase the Sindhi language play Barsaat by Halffry Theatre Group.

Barsaat – Tragedy
“Barsaat” unfolds the true story of a blind elderly man who steadfastly clings to his ancestral home despite the impending danger of an oncoming rain and flood. Set against the backdrop of his determination and love for his ancestral abode, the play takes us on a journey into his world where his strong bond with his house is challenged by external forces. As the rain draws near, his family prepares to evacuate to safer grounds, but he remains resolute. Amidst the backdrop of impending disaster, the play explores themes of Aatachment, bravery, and the unforeseen twists of fate that can shape one’s destiny.
