Rakae Jamil is a musician, music producer and a lecturer based in Lahore. He started his training with Ustad Ashraf Sharif Khan and later also trained under Ustad Shujaat Hussain.
Rakae has also acquired a B.A degree in Musicology from the National College of Arts in Lahore, and his Mastersโ degree in the Humanities from the University of Chicago with a concentration in Ethnomusicology. He is an Assistant Professor of the Musicology Department at the National College of Arts in Lahore, Pakistan.
Rakae Jamil also delves in experimental music under his contemporary band, Mughal-e-Funkโ.
Rakae Jamil will be accompanied by Yousuf Basheer on Tabla.
