Mechathon 8.0 (For NED only) [26 Dec]

Mechathon is an event where you can apply your engineering knowledge & skills without getting bored. Students from all departments can participate. Mechathon consist of 4 modules; bridge-building, bottle rocket,spud gun & balloon cart competition.

𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗴𝗲 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
It is an area of interest for those who are technical as well as creative. the participants had to make a bridge as per the rules, the bridge which can bear the maximum load wins.

𝗕𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
The participant has to make a rocket by using a plastic bottle by following the guidelines & without violating the rules, after which the bottle rocket is launched in the air, this competition has 2 rounds and the bottle rocket which covers the longest distance wins.

𝗦𝗽𝘂𝗱 𝗚𝘂𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
Students participate in a group and have to design a spud gun before the day of the competition. All teams will have 5 chances each to hit targets set at different distances and the points are also set in accordance to it. The team which gain the highest points wins.

𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻:
To make a balloon cart, cut cardboard into a rectangular base and four side panels. Attach bottle caps as wheels. Inflate balloons and stick them onto the sides to cover the cart. Add strings as handles if desired.The balloon that goes ahead will win the race.
