DPS Festival of Lights [27 Jan]

The Festival of Lights is a global tradition of celebrating a nation’s hopefulness and prosperity through display of colorful lights and innovation. For people all over the world, these celebrations remind us that darkness must yield to light. The purpose of Festival of Lights is also to promote acceptance through incredible multi-cultural entertainment outlets for people from all walks of life.

DPS Festival of Lights, being held at Dawood Public School, on the 27th and 28th, of January 2017 aims to resonate Karachi’s unique, vibrant and inclusive nature through displays made of dazzling light, a children’s light parade, fireworks, fire performer, amusement rides, fun filled activities, spicy foods and whole lot of entertainment. The Carnival will be filled with stalls of food and games set up by students themselves to generate funds for the charity for Lady Dufferin Hospital in Karachi.

Lady Dufferin Hospital is a Not-for-profit organization that is providing best possible medical care to women and children irrespective of socio-economic backgrounds. The hospital has over 300 beds and state of the art medical facilities including obstetric, gynecological and neo-natal pediatric services. The hospital caters to thousands of patients who cannot afford good quality of medical treatment.

Dawood Public School takes pride in organizing meaningful events that help children and adults realize their obligations towards humanity and help them in better becoming better citizens.

The event is being organized at Dawood Public School on the evening of 27th and 28th Jan from 5:00PM to 10:00 PM. The event is sponsored by Engro Foundation. The event will be open for all at a nominal entry fee of Rs. 200 for DPS students and their parents whereas walk-in tickets for other residents is priced at Rs 250.
